Smudge Sticks, Cedar, Sage, Incense, and Charcoal Tablets

Usng smoke for cleansing is common to many indigenous cultures. This list will provide resources for smudging materials, charcoal and incense to use in cleansing space and calling spirits in preparation for journeying to the spirit world.

Crystals and Other Minerals

Clear crystals have inspired awe and have been used for divination for many thousands of years. Certain stones are believed to convey special knowledge or powers to shamans and others. This section will discuss where to find and how to choose them. If you don't have a good source in your area, it will provide a list of online sources.

Many people feel that they need traditional materials, such as feathers, leather, claws, teeth, hooves, and such for their shamanic regalia. If you do, please buy them from humane suppliers rather than packing houses. Animals that have died a good death have much more power to offer anyway.
